Panel Discussion: NIST’s Draft Interagency March-In Framework RFI

Please join us for a webinar panel discussion of the Draft Interagency Guidance Framework for Considering the Exercise of March-In Rights that was recently published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). NIST has put out a request for information closing on February 7, 2024. The webinar will include a (very) brief history of the Bayh-Dole Act and explanation of march-in rights and insights from a panel including:

– Brian Lally – Assistant General Counsel for Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property (GC-62), United States Department of Energy

– Marc Filigenzi – Intellectual Property Managing Attorney, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, managed and operated by UT-Battelle, LLC

– Derek Maughan – Intellectual Property Counsel/Deputy General Counsel, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, managed and operated by Battelle Memorial Institute,

There will also be some time reserved for the panel to take questions/discussion topics from the audience.

The discussion will be led by Rob Pittelkow, Assistant General Counsel – Intellectual Property, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, managed and operated by Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC.
