Employment Attorney

This position is for an attorney with well-developed counseling, investigative, negotiation, and litigation skills who has experience in representing employers or government agencies as employment or labor counsel.  The position will provide day-to-day legal support and advice to Human Resources professionals and senior business managers on employment and labor issues in support of CNS’s management and operation of the Y-12 National Security Complex.  The position will oversee litigation in various forums, sometimes supervising outside counsel and sometimes handling the matter in-house.  In addition to managing litigation, the attorney in this position will need to be able to deliver real-time legal advice in the context of the company’s strategic mission and business objectives.  When responding to specific requests for legal advice, the attorney will also need to be able to identify other existing legal vulnerabilities and business impacts beyond the scope of the request.
