Breakout Session for Attorneys new to DOE/NNSA Complex
October 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT
Hybrid Event
Free
The DOE/NNSA complex can be. . .well, a bit complex, especially for newcomers, regardless of whether you are a seasoned general counsel or early in your career, or somewhere in between.
If you are new* to the DOE/NNSA attorney community, first, welcome! And second, you’re in the right place! This inaugural event, led by Josh Miller from the Kansas City National Security Campus, will provide an overview of the DOE/NNSA complex, address some of the features and quirks that likely make it different from any other place you have worked, and bring ideas and suggestions from a panel with experience across the complex.
* There is no hard and fast definition of what “new” means. Any attorneys who have joined the DOE/NNSA complex within the past few years are welcome to attend, but if capacity limits dictate, we may prioritize seats for our newest colleagues.
It’s only a 90 minute session, so we won’t answer every question, but we’ll do our best to at least scratch the surface. And if people like it, DOECAA may schedule additional sessions in the future to delve into more detail.
You do need to register, but there is no charge for this breakout session, and it is open to everyone in the DOECAA community whether you are attending the fall conference or not. It will take place during lunch in an adjoining room for those attending in person. A virtual option is also available.
